New year, but is it time for a new career?

At the end of the year most of us start to reflect on where our lives are going, should we be doing something different, will it improve etc. So it’s no surprise that the pastime that takes most of our time (our job) is a major factor when contemplating the future. According to the Federation of Small Businesses, in 2021 there were estimated to be 5.6 million UK private sector businesses – 1.4 million of these businesses had employees, a whopping 4.2 million had no employees! What does that tell us? That the majority of businesses are owner-managed. And that’s where we come in!

We’ve said previously on this blog that ‘going it alone’ shouldn’t be a barrier to you taking advantage of the bull recruitment market. Starting your own business starts with a feeling in the depths of your belly that you are a talented recruiter who is lining the pockets of someone else. Ok, it’s a risk, but then what isn’t a risk when the advantages are so great? Imagine calling the shots, working the hours that suit you and cashing in on the nascent entrepreneur within.

Seriously, if you are considering starting your own recruitment firm, then get in touch for an informal chat with real entrepreneurial recruiters who’ve been there and got the t-shirt.
